Bon écran, mais service désastreux.
Très bonne écran, belle couleur et blah blah blah.Parcontre, lorsqu'est venu le temps de le brancher à mon Macbook, l'écran n'était pas reconnu et il m'a fallu plusieurs heures de travail/update de driver pour que celui-ci fonctionne correctement.Le services ASUS est absolument d'aucune utilité et mon raccrocher 3 fois au nez... et les drivers updates sont conçu pour Windows et aucun moyen simple de mettre l'écran à jour sans un ordinateur Windows de backup, faut insérer une clé USB avec un fichier .bin dans le port 9 (Bref si vous avez ce problème chercher PA279CV_FW_Update_Tool_V022 et le tutoriel est dans un fichier pdf nommé "SOP for updating PA279CV FW via USB-EN v1.3-§w¬‡¿…") pas besoin d'un windows juste d'une clé USB FAT32. D'ailleurs les photos du tutoriel ne sont même pas du bon moniteur...De base, les ports USC-A sont en 2.0... et pour les mettre en 3.1 (Très simple quand on sait comment), il faut activer des options avancé, pour ça faut éteindre via le bouton d'alimentation puis rallumer en appuyant sur le bouton du milieu, puis sur le premier pour aller activé la configuration USB et le passer en 3.1 (POURQUOI ASUS...)Bref, très bonne écran maintenant qu'il fonctionne... mais documentation et service à la clientèle absolument désastreux...

    I haven't owned many monitors but I have the Macbook Pro M3 Pro 16" macbook with Retina Display and this monitor is a perfect pairing. I don't notice any difference in resolution. I love the sRGB and HDR settings as it allows me to properly colour correct and so far all of my video and photos have turned out great. This is a great monitor for semi-professionals and even professionals. No complaints with delivery and the functionality of the monitor.

    I was on the fence when I purchased this Monitor. Its pricey and I wasn't sold on needing the colour fidelity, given that I am a programmer, not a designer.

    I have no regrets, the colour is amazing... but most importantly it is not that heavily oversaturated colour that a fair deal of monitors have, and I find it very easy on the eyes in terms of eye strain because of that. Worth the price.

    -charging my macbookpro through the usb-c, and connecting all my stuff through the monitor!
    - 4k
    - tilt and rotation
    -nice design
    - rec709 mode can be manipulated without restrictions and calibrated with calibration tools.
    Cons:
    - In Srgb mode you cannot dim or brighten the screen. It’s has a default brightness and calibrated for prints: photography, graphics…)
    - in the calibration paper they only mention srgb calibration, Rec709 not included . So it’s only SRGB calibrated by Calman.
    - the power button is loose and cheap.

    Overall, I love this monitor.

    My eyes are positioned +- 24" from the screen, 23.8" is an ideal size. HD 1080p is more then enough to appreciate sharp, high definition content without putting any extra processing stress on the CPU / GPU such as with 4K screens, when the content needs acceleration.

    Mine is mounted on a basic Amazon Vesa arm with 100x100 screw spacing. I had to use 5mm thick spacers plastic washers and 20mm screws from a 11$ standard vesa hardware kit to mount the screen on the existing plate.

    I can’t overstate how deeply disappointed I am with the ASUS ProArt Display. From the moment I set it up, it was clear that this monitor is far from the "professional-grade" quality it claims to be. The colors were absolutely horrible—completely inaccurate and inconsistent. For a monitor marketed toward creators who rely on precise color calibration, this is simply unacceptable. Every attempt to adjust the settings led to minimal improvement, and the results were still far below even a basic monitor I could have bought for half the price.

    If the color issues weren’t bad enough, the monitor’s response time was atrociously slow. Any movement on the screen seemed to lag, making it unusable for video editing, gaming, or even general browsing. It’s shocking that ASUS would even release something with such poor performance and label it as part of their "ProArt" line. This isn’t professional—it’s an overpriced paperweight.

    But the nightmare didn’t end there. The monitor also had a persistent issue with power flickering. Randomly, the screen would shut off for a second or two and then come back on. At first, I thought it was a cable issue, so I swapped cables and ports—nothing worked. It was clearly a hardware defect. Imagine trying to focus on work when your monitor is constantly flickering—it's infuriating and unacceptable for a product in this price range.

    As if the product’s flaws weren’t enough, dealing with ASUS Support was an absolute disaster. It took days just to get an initial response, and when they finally replied, the so-called "solution" they offered was completely useless. Their response felt like a generic script rather than a real attempt to resolve the issue. When I asked for further clarification, I was ignored for several more days. ASUS clearly has no interest in supporting their customers once they’ve made the sale. It was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had.

    For the price of this monitor, you’d expect top-notch quality and support, but what I got was the exact opposite. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel cheated out of my hard-earned money. There are so many better options on the market that won’t leave you regretting your purchase like this one will.

    If you’re considering this monitor, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. ASUS has seriously dropped the ball, not only with this product but also with the way they treat their customers. I will never purchase another ASUS product again, and I strongly advise others to avoid this brand. Learn from my mistake—this brand and monitor is a disaster from start to finish.

    Parcontre, lorsqu'est venu le temps de le brancher à mon Macbook, l'écran n'était pas reconnu et il m'a fallu plusieurs heures de travail/update de driver pour que celui-ci fonctionne correctement.

    Le services ASUS est absolument d'aucune utilité et mon raccrocher 3 fois au nez... et les drivers updates sont conçu pour Windows et aucun moyen simple de mettre l'écran à jour sans un ordinateur Windows de backup, faut insérer une clé USB avec un fichier .bin dans le port 9 (Bref si vous avez ce problème chercher PA279CV_FW_Update_Tool_V022 et le tutoriel est dans un fichier pdf nommé "SOP for updating PA279CV FW via USB-EN v1.3-§w¬‡¿…") pas besoin d'un windows juste d'une clé USB FAT32. D'ailleurs les photos du tutoriel ne sont même pas du bon moniteur...

    De base, les ports USC-A sont en 2.0... et pour les mettre en 3.1 (Très simple quand on sait comment), il faut activer des options avancé, pour ça faut éteindre via le bouton d'alimentation puis rallumer en appuyant sur le bouton du milieu, puis sur le premier pour aller activé la configuration USB et le passer en 3.1 (POURQUOI ASUS...)

    Bref, très bonne écran maintenant qu'il fonctionne... mais documentation et service à la clientèle absolument désastreux...

    So, if you are planning to buy this, there are a few things you need to know beforehand:
    1. It does not work with Type C, right out of the box. I got September 2021 make and ASUS still hasn't updated the factory firmware, so you'll either have to manually update the thing or get ASUS to do it for you by registering a complaint and then you just gotta wait, for I guess a year or some for them to respond? That brings me to my second point.

    2. I called up ASUS Customer support when I got this, and I told them I need to update the firmware in order for it to work with my Macbook with a Type C, I then had to explain to the customer support human where exactly on ASUS's website was the solution to this, but it required a Windows machine which I didn't have. After wasting like 4 hours with them, they said a technician will visit my location to fix it and I'll receive a complaint number on my registered email in the next 24-48 hours, fair enough I guess.

    It's been 14 days since the delivery and the whole customer support thing, I still haven't received the complaint number and any support from their tech team, I ended up figuring out the solution for this by borrowing a windows machine in order to update the firmware.

    Point is, If you are on a tight budget like me, and you can are okay with the whole ASUS after-sales service thing (which I am not, not anymore), feel free to get this monitor, it's a good display, but If you can, get a BenQ or an Eizo Monitor instead, especially if you are in India.

    Me encanto la gama de colores que tiene. Las imágenes se ven muy bien.
    Si te dedicas a editar foto/video o a cualquier otra cosa de diseño y no quieres gastar tanto, esta opción me parece muy ideal.
    Las características con las que cuenta son muy buenas. Los materiales se sienten de buena calidad y me agrada el “plus” de tener todas esas conexiones en la parte posterior.

    Como recomendación:
    Si quieren poner el monitor en algún soporte, brazo o como lo quieran llamar. Tienen que tomar en cuenta que el monitor en sí es algo pesado. Así es de que procuren comprar un buen soporte de calidad y que se mantenga firme

    Otra recomendación:
    NO ES PARA VIDEOJUEGOS.
    Aunque creo que esto último está de más decir… pero por si alguna persona se lo está preguntando… ¿se puede jugar? Si, pero puedes encontrar mucho mejores opciones por el mismo precio si lo quieres para ese fin.
