However, some customers find the optical fall sensor works fine but makes the robot useless on black surfaces. Overall, it's a decent product for the price.

It has a remote control to set the cleaning schedule and you could also use it to point it in. The container is easy to empty, and it is more than enough to keep floors in order.

You can scroll through my update(s) to find my short tldr and list of pros and cons. I will continue to update this when I see necessary to give any extra information or new experiences. If you have any specific questions that I may not have answered, feel free to ask in a comment below and I’d try to be of some help :)**Update Nov 2nd**This is an update mostly of photos to explain the attached photos and the way I use my Ava :).In uploaded order:- This video was filmed mid cleaning cycle to give you an idea of what the sound is like. As you can see she finds her way back pretty easy. If she had seen the dock recently it is registered. This is HUGE, my last one could not process what the dock was and ran onto it on accident, this won’t happen with this! So unless if it hasn’t had the dock in sight in sometime, it will directly head to it. Otherwise, it’ll roam around for a while and (unless if you’ve got a confusing or large home) it’ll find it’s way back.- An idea of what the colour combo looks like on the product.- Three photos of the containers. They are the same size with the water one having 300ml marking (I usually fill it past the line). The dust bin is really easy to clean and has two types of filters going within it. Last photo of the three gives you an idea of what the size of the opening is.- The next few are my swiffer (innovation, I guess you can call it?). You can see the blue pad they give, but I did not like the cleaning job it did. With the swiffer and a full tank of water, the clean is thorough and done with soap instead of just a wash with water. Plus at the end, you remove the swiffer and in the trash it goes - mess free, as long as you have no issues with swiffer pads (I clearly don’t) you will be a-ok!- Finally the remote. The screen has two ‘clocks’ the top one shows the cycle set time, once this is set the robot will vacuum at that time everyday unless if it is turned off. So make sure you have the dust bin in there. The arrows are pretty straight forward - you can control it if you want to lead it somewhere rather than having to pick it up and take it there. The blue buttons (from top to bottom, left to right) 1] play/pause, start stop the robot. 2] set cycle time. 3] set clock time. 4] Spot clean. 5] Go home (I.e. to dock station). 6] edge clean.Overall my experience with Ava is still as is. In fact, I’ve come to a point where I do not think (and cannot imagine) what I would do if I am to lose her! Super happy with it - definitely recommend :)**End of Update Nov 2nd**To start off I want to note that this is the 3rd robotic vacuum I have had. The first two were real disappointments and had to be returned. This one withstood the test of my simplistic apartment and does a good job in boith mopping & vacuuming.TLDR (Followed by pros/cons):This is, in my humblest opinion, the best bang for your buck that you can get (as of writing this) for a robot that both vacuums and mops. The preset feature is really useful for vacuuming and once set will run automatically every day (so be sure to have the dust tank in place). The mop function doesn't function in preset as it would leak the water out, so be aware of that before getting one. What you get is a robot that is both ready and easy to use. I have the charging dock in quite a tough spot and she has managed to find her way back everytime so far (except one time where my guest had left many things on the floor and the robot got stuck before it could run the battery out :( ). However, I will note, if you are looking for just a vacuum, you may find better value elsewhere but even then it is not by much! PS: this one finds her way back in a spot I honestly didn't think she ever would. I had the charger set there and put the table afterwards as it was added after the vacuum and once I noticed she finds her way back (see video) - I decided to make that her home!Pros:- Great price. for this price point, you cannot find a better vacuum AND mop robot (As of the date of writing this review nothing comes close) the only thing that comes close in terms of quality is only a vacuum. To add on to this, the mop attachment they give is not the greatest. This can be easily overlooked if, like me, you choose to attach a wet Swiffer pad (as shown in photos) and fill up the tank with water. The soap from the Swiffer pad and the continues water flow does a great job mopping my entire apartment and I only clean myself when something is spilt on the ground.- Compact size. She will fit under most couches and goes neatly under my coffee table (which I currently use as a bookshelf)- Sort of smart. Ok - so you don't get a robot that is as smart as your smartphone, Siri or Google Assistant. It won't map out your place and know the most efficient way to clean it. But trust me, it knows how to do it effectively! I have not had any vacuum cycle where I noticed dirt or dust anywhere in my place. It doesn't go in zigzags or specific layout, so if like me you have OCD, I wouldn't sit on an afternoon and watch it, but it will do the whole place well!- Good sensors. She is really smart about not hitting walls or objects. The sensors are a bit iffy in terms of noticing your feet though. Again, if like me you choose to run her when you are not home. So I put the vacuum tank in and set it for 10 am. she runs and goes back to the charger after vacuuming (battery lasts about 1.5 hours or so on regular and an hour on max - both do a good clean but I'd run max on dirty spots when I need her to vacuum my mess - the time was set by tests in my first couple of days as I wanted to see her in action to make sure I want to keep her). I usually come by the apartment sometime in the afternoon where I fill up the water tank and attach a wet Swiffer pad (see attached photos) and set her to run again to mop.- Relatively quiet. She runs pretty quietly and I have tested her while I'm asleep and has not really bothered me in regular mode. I should add that I do actually use her as an alarm though. So to explain, if I have only recently gone to sleep she wouldn't wake me up or bother me at all (As long as she isn't in the same room and the door is closed), but some mornings I set her for 7:30-7:45 am and by then as my body has had enough sleep the noise with the door open is enough to wake me up. So this is a duo pro, in my opinion, you might see it differently, but she doubles as an alarm if you keep the door open and have had enough sleep and is not loud enough to wake you up with doors closed. (please keep in mind my apartment is a one bedroom, so she vacuums my living room which is right by the room and the walls are quite thin - depending on what might wake you up, you may be different from me, for better or worst)- Sleek design. Ok - so I was not sure how I feel about the white and gold design at first. The last two vacuums I had were black and I liked their colour, while they had their issues functioning, charging on their own, or others, I did not mind their colour. I like things simple and plain so I did not know if I will like the colour combo that the V5S is offered in. Upon receiving it and having it for a few days I can honestly say it grew on me from day one, the colour combination looks a lot nicer, in my opinion in person compared to the photos. Obviously, you might have a different opinion, but if the one thing deterring you from getting it is the colour combo I would recommend at least giving it a shot! you may surprise yourself and like it as much as me - or maybe more!- Gifts. Ok, I really like and appreciate what the package ILIFE sends you! Not only do you get the unit charged and ready in the box (my other units came with dead batteries and no batteries for remotes). She comes with a manual, an easy to use remote (batteries included), extra set of brushes, the mop holder, two tanks (300 ml for liquid and another for dust) and the mop attachment - note the two functions cannot be used simultaneously (ps: I don't think any robot does that - unless if you get one where you wet the mop and have to re-wet it every so often)Cons: (I want to note these are not cons I faced - but may deter some from purchasing)- Somewhat small tank. So the fact that the tank is quite small may mean that if you have lots of pet hair or long hair it will fill up quite quickly. I am a single guy but I have a few guests every other week and she deals with everything ok for me. Keep in mind if you want a unit with a bigger tank you may give up the sleekness of the vacuum (I wouldn't opt to get a bigger one as it wouldn't fit under most of my furniture).- No Bluetooth/WiFi connectivity. This is straightforward, you can't turn on your vacuum from outside the home or without the given remote. As far as I know this remote is controlled by infrared (similar to older TVs - unlike newer TVs with Bluetooth remotes) so I feel an app may be made for devices with that IR attachment such as some Samsungs. but would not be coming on iPhones anytime soon. Due to that, you lose in terms of smarts, but to get a unit that does all that this does with that would cost twice as much from any other brand! So you are the judge of that one for yourself.- No "stay out" attachment. The one thing that is not included is a barrier attachment. This has not been a big issue for me as I can close doors or put a chair in the way of the kitchen so she doesn't wander off, or I simply robot proof the whole place (no large carpets or any strings or cables on the floors) and she has no issues going everywhere and finding her way back.- I want to note your friends or significant other may want to take your robot from you if you have one as good as this! I've only had a handful of people see her since I got her about two weeks ago or so - and all of them have either asked where to get one or wanted to take mine! So be careful - you might not want her seen haha.I do not know if you were aware of this, but every time I referred to my V5S, I used the term 'She.' This robot has been such a lifesaver and a great companion to have in the place that I decided to name her 'Ava,' I think that is good enough to let you know how good this product is. I had two robots before and both were referred to as its but due to how this works and is helpful I decided that it deserves a name as it handles my mess with no complaints! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a robot that vacuums and/or mops because IMO there is no better product out there right now, in this price segment at least.I hope you found this review helpful in deciding whether this is a good fit for you or not. If you get one, be sure to let me know, if like me you give yours a name, what is the name you choose?

Bought this during prime day, it was a great deal, absolutely in love with it, easy to use, although it can’t be pair with phone to control, it comes with the remote control. Suction power is good, I shed so much long hair, it suck in easily but do tangle with the brush, just need to untangle and clean it out from time to time. Like many people point out this model is not good with carpet, but it does have the mopping function, I haven’t tried yet. If you have big rug or carpet, don’t recommend going with this but another model. Also, used it on both floors the other day, have it on about two hours until it ran out of juice and it went back to charge itself. Totally recommend it if you are looking for something to help with day to day cleaning, and buying for the first time just want to try out, but don’t want to pay iRobot price.

This is the ONLY robotic vacuum I've found that my fearful dog has tolerated, and I've waited for a few years to be able to provide a very solid review. Please feel free to skip to the end for the pros and cons if you want the short version.

For this price point, this robotic vacuum really does hold its own, and would be perfect in a bare floor, pet free home without carpet. I use it frequently and have been relying on it for 2 years to help keep up with a kid and pets (big pets who shed in a way that you wouldn't think physically possible). This helps me keep up with a busy life. It's pretty mindless once you set it up, and one less mental task is always a good thing. There are enough mental tasks in a day and it's a relief to save the time physically vacuuming as well as setting up and organizing things daily to vacuum around. One of the things I like most is that this unit does a pretty decent job of navigating a less than perfect floor. Sometimes there are dog toys or children's toys or inconveniently placed chair legs etc, and this little unit sneaks under most furniture and spins in an erratic enough way and manages to climb just enough to navigate most things. I try to lift my rugs because it doesn't always play well with them and because it's nice to use the mop function and though it's a great little unit, it is not smart enough to know that no one really wants their carpet mopped. You could probably block off your carpet as well, but I find this easier. I have been overall very pleased with this little device and it has taken a lot of stress off of my sensitive souled guard dog who has never learned the word flee and has a history of epic battles with other evil vacuums.

SOUND: It is genuinely pretty quiet. It doesn't interrupt me at work. Both of my dogs generally ignore it, which is a very rare occurrence when you have a dog like mine who thinks vacuums are terrifying and that all humans should be rescued from the terrible sucker beast before it eats them. I can't tell you how pleased I was to find something that wouldn't awaken the warrior beast within my dog.

HEIGHT: The height is convenient for fitting into smaller areas under furniture. I have found this feature to be very helpful and convenient. This is super helpful as it gets into the smaller areas of the home. The downside is the size of the receptacle is quite small to allow for this.

STAIR SENSOR: This function works almost all the time, but mine survived a trip down the stairs. This resulted in the open and close function no longer working. I now use a pin or knife to open the latch every time I have to empty the bin or change it to the water bin.

DUST BIN: small, too small for my small home with two big shedding dogs, but on the flipside, the vacuum fits under all of the furniture.

WATER BIN: works well, you'll want to have an easy place to store it while you're not using it, since there are two bins for the one vacuum space. You'll also want to store the faceplate and mop pads along with it.

CORNERS AND EDGES: it can leave some bits in the corners and along the edges, but it's not too much. There are handy little sweeping arms that help get into the edges and corners. It also likely does a better job in corners than most due to it's smaller size.

SHORT CARPETS: The suction could be better to work on low carpets in a home with pets (I have flatwoven small carpets and I tend to not bother as it can get stuck on the corners and it just doesn't have enough suction to make it worthwhile, that being said, it does do a good job on the hardwood and reduces my cleaning time by allowing me to just focus on sweeping up the bigger clumps of fluff so it can do the rest.

SUCTION: It could be better. It's good for the price and it works well on the hardwood, but it's not enough to do a decent job on the low flatwoven rug.

BATTERY LIFE: It generally handles my 500ish square feet of wood flooring, but I charge it between vacuuming and mopping. I don't love this because it takes more planning, especially with two pets who are completely oblivious to the fact that I prefer the dirt to remain outside.

MOVEMENT: It takes quite a while with the random pattern but I love that you can set it and forget it aside from emptying it.

DURABILITY: It has held up well aside from when it didn't detect the stair on the one occasion. It now requires a pin or knife to open it, but I'm glad it still works well otherwise.

DAMP CLEAN (MOP): This is not truly a mop. If you just want a very light wipe for dust, it's great, but it won't help with actual dirt. That being said, a light swipe is better than nothing, especially when you just have to add the water and set it up.

DOCK: This unit comes with a dock, but you can also plug the charger directly into the unit. It will dock itself when it needs to charge so it's nice to have the dock out. It's not beautiful to look at but it's small enough to keep it tucked away.

INSTRUCTIONS: Appear clearly written and straightforward. The device is also user-friendly enough that you won't likely have to spend too much time with the instruction booklet.

PIECES/PARTS HAVE LASTED: This vacuum has had lots of use and the parts have lasted well

REMOTE: works well, I don't tend to reach for it, but it's nice to be able to change it while I'm at my desk. There are some fun features with the remote, but I prefer to just set it and forget it.

CHARGER: It's nice and small and easy to tuck away, you have to ensure that there is enough space around it to ensure the vacuum can easily find its way back before the battery dies, but I've found it easy to keep tucked away under a desk.

    PROS:
    - very convenient
    - easy to charge
    - convenient height and size (can keep it under desk and out of the way and cleans under most furniture)
    - user-friendly and good instruction booklet
    - mop feature is nice to have
    - price point is great
    - very quiet and doesn't disturb either of my large dogs
    - durable

    CONS:
    - suction is good but not amazing, good for the price tag
    - small cannister can't keep up with my two dogs shedding, but it's nice to sweep and then set it and forget it to make it even nicer
    - not as easy to clean with all of the grooves etc, but not a dealbreaker
    - doesn't scrub floors, but doesn't promise to either
    - battery could last longer, but it might need a bigger vacuum for that to be the case and I think the size is great

Overall, you can't beat the price and it's great quality for what you pay. If you have big pets and can afford something bigger, you may want to consider other options, but I am very glad to have this little sucker beast that doesn't disturb my sound-sensitive big dog. If you can protect the sucker beast from a tumble by the stairs, I would, but I've found it to be quite durable. I would buy this again.

QUIET, nice for pets ears, SMALL bin, still runs 2 years later, works well for WOOD FLOORS

This is the first robot vacuum I've personally owned, and in under a week I'm already thoroughly impressed.

The V5s Pro has a solid feel, and is super user friendly, with really no reason to read the manual.
It comes with a remote that allows you to program a time of day to run at, a different pattern to vacuum with, and most wonderfully it has a remote control option so it doubles as a toy, I've used it to play with my cats and pester my roommate all while cleaning!
Cleaning out the cartridge is super easy and doesn't require picking the robot up and fiddling with any buttons, just pop the top and yank the cartridge out.
It does a great job at cleaning up copious amounts of cat hair from my hardwood/tile/carpet flooring.
It runs wonderfully quiet on normal mode and when its on its max setting it's still quieter than a standard vacuum.
Its stair avoidance is pretty good, but if you turn it on pointing at the steps without letting it touch a wall first, it'll go full steam ahead off the steps, (My roommate and I tested it out) other than that it's pretty good at obstacle avoidance. The mopping function is pretty good, but requires you to help it along otherwise it'll will occasionally get stuck and form a puddle under a chair or TV stand.
You must remove the water cartridge and mop before charging it, so honestly I'd recommend just doing it yourself...

Overall, it's a great little machine and it does pretty much exactly what you want out of a robot vacuum, and looks nice doing so. The only issues I can foresee in the future are the limited capacity of the collection bin, and the lid covering the receptacle has a weak feeling latch that a 200lb gorrila might break due to lack of finesse.

EDIT: the seller replaced my item free of cost and the new unit worked great - until it didn't. My first issue was after the first couple of months, it stopped picking up dust/dirt/pet hair etc as well as it did initially. Then, it started to 'get stuck' on nothing. Now, the unit will not dock on the charger. I have tried everything and it is no use. This product is now useless to me.
While customer service was great, AVOID the product.

When it works, it works great.
But, boy, do I have a lot of trouble with it.
Firstly, it gets stuck on nothing. I've cleaned it and made sure everything is attached correctly and it still gets stuck random places in my house where there are no obstructions.
Secondly, the mop feature is pretty much useless. It just leaves my floors wet and doesn't do much cleaning. But I didn't buy it for this feature so it doesn't bother me.
Lastly, it is next to impossible to dock and charge. I have followed the instructions for setting up the dock and the vacuum will return to the dock maybe only 1/4 of the time - and when it does, it wanders around the house for ages before it finally heads towards the dock.
Not sure if I got a dud or if it's just a bad product.

Sensacional!!! Ela aspira super bem!
    RECOMENDO!
