- Reviewed in Canada on July 17, 2020Verified PurchaseAMAZING value since you get the burner AND the pot. People in other reviews are noting that the pot is not great quality - we needed a pot for hotpot since we were replacing our broken 1-piece hotpot appliance, and this pot is so perfect for that purpose.. perfect size, shape, and quality.
Settings on the burner are great, though it was a little louder than expected (due to the fan). However, I was warned since lots of people mentioned it in their reviews.

- Reviewed in Canada on July 28, 2021Verified PurchaseWorks well and heats up really quickly. There are no extra buttons for setting to maintain temperatures or power level but it makes it easier to use. I think it still maintains the temperature or power level anyhow once you've set it. The other models include settings for hotpot, stirfry etc but they are really not needed as it's easy to set the power level or temperature for those. The stainless steel pot is quite thin metal and is great for hotpots, deep frying and cooking anything with lots of liquid but it's absolutely terrible for dry type cooking like Stirfry. Works great with cast iron and any heavy bottomed cookware. One thing I would have liked is a longer power cord. Especially if you are using it for hotpots at the dinner table. You need to have a power outlet close by or use extension cords.

- Reviewed in Canada on December 29, 2019Verified PurchaseIt worked well for the first time use. And when I tried to use it for the second time, it showed “E 1” message and did not work at all. I didn’t expect that the item is only for the one time use.

- Reviewed in Canada on June 20, 2018Verified PurchaseI bought this for camping trips and I was not disapointed. I was affraid to buy because of some comments, but it turns out the unit works perfectly fine. Ensure the unit is on a level surface because anything on it may fall off after a while during opération.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sorprendentemente cocina rápido
Verified PurchaseEs la justa primera parrilla de inducción que he comprado. Sorprendentemente cocina rápido y en efecto ahorra bastante tiempo comparando con las parrillas tradicionales de gas. No dudaría en volver a comprarlo.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does what is says, hard to complain
Verified PurchaseI went for the non-programmed variant of this product. My initial though was "i never know how how the flame on my burner is so whats the difference here." Well in practice it does hold us but i think looking back i would have gone for the programmed model just for ease of use.
First i will say though, this thing gets hot and it gets hot fast! I was honestly not prepared for that coming from the other conventional heating methods. I just set it to high like i usually did before and my cast iron pan was smoking in no time.
The cooktop is easy to use, just place your pan or pot on it, hit the power button and then the mode button after, from there you select your power level. After figuring it out, i never had a need to go above 1200W, it honestly just got too hot to do anything useful and would overheat the plate with my cast iron skillet. If you take your pan off while cooking then you will be treated with a very loud and constant beeping to let you know you took your pan off. I could do without this feature but i get why its there, once you return it though it stops instantly. I will say, if you leave a pan on it empty for a while, it will overheat the system pretty fast. It's not much of an issue when actually cooking but it will throw an error code at you and start beeping again.
The pot included is nothing fancy but it comes with a lid and it works. At least if you find yourself in a situation where your pans don't work, you will still have something to use on it.
Anyway, i would go for the programmed version just so i could set temps but i don't think it makes a huge difference. The unit looks great and works as expected, it also takes up little counter space and can be stored shortly after use since it cools down quickly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works FAST and surface stays cool
Verified Purchase. We'd gone through about 4 regular single cookers, cheaper but they would take several minutes to get hot and then stay hot for half an hour when turned off. The induction cooker starts the water boiling within a minute yet the surface is barely warm to the touch after you remove the pan. Seems to be very efficient, and time saving compared to the standard ones we had which failed (switch bad), one within a week. You do have to check the pot to be sure a magnet is attracted to it. Our copper bottom Revere Ware post don't work. This one came with a great large pot to cook with and our iron and other pots work great. You can cook in a power (watts) mode or temperature mode. The increments are a bit coarse, for example you can only set it to 200 degrees (just below boiling) and 250 degrees but not say 225 degrees which would be a good temperature for simmering. That said, it still works like a charm. The control panel is touch, so you might want to unplug it when not in use as it's to easy to turn on with a casual touch. On the other hand, it comes up with an error signal if there is no pot on the plate - the pot is non-magnetic, so it will not get hot if nothing is on it. Induction is a fluctuating magnetic field so some folks may have a concern.

4.0 out of 5 stars Mostly okay
Verified PurchaseDecent cooktop. Some annoyances but generally it does what it is supposed to do. I find it works extremely well for some things and not so well for others. Yesterday I made spaghetti using the included pan. I have never cooked pasta so quickly before so that was fun. The spaghetti sauce was a bit tricky to bring to a low simmer. I found the heat to be too concentrated on any setting causing big spatters from the center and uneven heating. I found the best result to be on the 300w setting which actually is 900w pulsed on for a few seconds and then off for a few seconds. I ended up with a black ring about the size of a doughnut burned to the bottom of the pan which was fun.
A few annoying things:
-When you turn it on, it defaults to 1200w. This overheats an empty pan in about 10 seconds. Why not a low setting, or last used setting, or prompt for setting?
-It instantly beeps like an alarm when you remove the pan from the burner. Is this totally necessary?
-The red led on the power button blinks all the time when the cooktop is turned off. Is this totally necessary?
-I wish the heating element was bigger so that the pan would heat evenly.
-I wish that the temperature and power control was finer.
-The included pan is nothing special but I didn't buy it for the pan so I consider it a freebie and I don't expect much.
I have ordered a set of thicker pans which hopefully will heat more evenly and I look forward to using those. Overall, it works as intended and I am not disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth the money-I use it in my motorhome
Verified PurchaseI LOVE IT! have a 30 amp motorhome and am running off a 15 amp breaker so I was not sure if this would even work in my camper but it does and it works well. I use it at 500 or 700 and have not tried at 1200 because it cooks very well on the lower settings so I have not needed the higher one's. It uses less electricity than most one burner electric stove tops. It saves me on having to go refill my propane tanks for my propane cook stove, it is lightweight, easy to clean and the fan on the bottom helps to prevent it from overheating. I like the pan too that was a neat bonus. I have used it every day for the past few months since I got it and sometimes a couple times a day and it still looks brand new. Def, worth the money.
