The item arrived on time with no apparent damage. I received exactly what I ordered which , after having three other transactions that did not, was a refreshing change.
I put the new SSD in an Acer travelmate I'm currently working with replacing the old spinning platters model it was using. I can only say that if you want to give an old laptop a new lease on life , aside from upgrading the RAM , an SSD like the one I purchased from Crucial is the BEST way to get the most bang for your buck. I now have a laptop that boots almost instantly and the read/write times have increased exponentially. Loading an app from a cold start takes about 45 seconds even less....thats after booting fully without pushing it . It performs exactly as described and the installation is , for someone with basic handyman/lady skills , is a quick and easy task . Make sure you purchase an adapter cable so you can transfer the old stuff on your existing HDD to the new SSD . I used the Acronis software furnished by Crucial to do the cloning/ transfer which is provided courtesy of Crucial and although there are other ways if accomplishing this I would recommend following the instructions that come with the drive , especially those not familiar with this kind of thing.
