Such a good deal and an excellent product. Incremental increase in power so that you get used to the vibration is awesome. Quad 30sec timer so you can equally brush each segment of your teeth for a total of 2min. This has been one of my all time best purchases and I bought another for my son. I spent a fortune on his braces and now that they are off he can protect that investment. I used to have to manually scrap plaque from behind my front teeth every two weeks but no more. This brush does a perfect job and my teeth are getting whiter and feel like I just came from the dentist. Just buy it trust me.

Many years ago I bought the older Philips model and I spend several times the price! This newer model is light weight and I was able to find cheap replacement heads (recommended by Amazon), I feel my teeth super clean after using this. The charging station is also much smaller and cleaner in design. My old one were big and harder to clean, it collected mold as a result. The only complaint I have is that the battery life is not impressive - I found myself charging this more often than I used to with the older model... But overall it's a great product.

I've used a manual toothbrush my entire life. But my dentist recommended I switch to an electric. Found this one on sale and quickly bought it. I'll break this review down into pros and cons.

    Pros:
    - sturdy base and doesn't fall over easily (unlike the Oral B)
    - comfortable in the hand
    - the bent-ness to the head is convenient to reach the back of the mouth
    - battery life is great (only charged once and still running for two weeks)

    Cons
    - feels... weird (maybe I'm not used to it?)
    - the brush head is really small and I'd prefer something bigger
    - have to keep mouth closed at all times otherwise the toothpaste dribbles out
    - don't turn on the toothbrush if wet, otherwise it will spray water and toothpaste everywhere

For the sale price that I grabbed it at, it was a great value. I'll still continue to use this, but maybe just in the morning or before bed. The other time I'll stick with my manual toothbrush because I feel like it does a better job.

I bought this tooth brush yesterday. My husband has the whitening brush and I wanted one too as I was looking for a new electric tooth brush. He recommended this one. I am a stickler for clean teeth and fresh breath. One my FIRST use, my teeth are SHINY AND SPARKLING CLEAN! My kids even begged for one, they were that impressed! (Side note, I got one for them too.) It does not have the useless bells and whistles that the more expensive models have. A fantastic no nonsense deep cleaning tooth brush. I am sure my dentist will be impressed.

My dentist finally loves me, so that’s a start! It’s a simple, affordable electric toothbrush that works!
There is one button for on and off, and a timer that portions out a 2 minute brush into equal 30 second increments, and that’s all I need in a toothbrush.
I’ve never had an issue with battery, as I keep the charger on my bathroom counter and charge it every night, but even if I was to take it on the go, the charger is insanely portable so I don’t know when battery life would ever become a problem.
It’s a bit... strong at first. It tickled my gums and felt like it was shaking my head, but owed it to my dental health to stick it out. And stick it out I did! I no longer have problems with the vibrations, and my teeth feel super clean, super healthy.

If you are new to the Sonicare electric toothbrush this is probably fine, but after having used the Sonicare Flexcare for 12 years (that's how long my last one survived for which is amazing), I am having a hard time with the vibration speed of this cheaper model. I bought this one because it's really cheap, and I did not think there would be a difference in the power but there is. I find this model doesn't vibrate at a high enough speed and already I notice I wear down my brushes my faster and will have to replace more often. For the Flexcare i would replace my brushes maybe every 6+ months. I know they recommend you replacing them after every 3 months but that's expensive and honestly the brush seems to be in decent condition and not warped. With the Essence Sonicare, unfortunately it's wearing down faster and brushes look like I'm pushing too hard. I might cave and purchase the better toothbrush.

After what seemed like an endless review of electric toothbrushes I decided to settle on this one after one Amazon reviewer claimed it was the best 40 you could spend. I have to agree. I have owned electric toothbrushes before and this one by far beats them all. No more batteries and water leaking from the battery compartment. The electric toothbrush I owned previously had the round head but I much prefer this one which is shaped like the regular manual toothbrushes you normally use. Also IMO the vibration frequency of this Philips brush is much higher than the one I had before... which was somewhat uncomfortable. With this brush I had no problem getting used to it. And my teeth feel dentist-clean afterwards. It has really brought back the joy of brushing. Also I have noticed that there is absolutely no buildup of plaque on my teeth. This is also what gives me added encouragement to keep brushing and not skip brushing as I would sometimes do. I know this review might sound overboard but I have to really say it as I feel. It has far exceeded my expectations. Oh... and the charging bay is small and neat and it re-charges quickly. Absolutely 5 stars!

On first use, my teeth felt very smooth as if I just had a polish at the dentist, just as some other people mention. This brush is very quiet to use compared to my cheap rotary battery toothbrush. It is also gentle on the gums. You don't need to move this brush in strokes, just let it glide with light pressure over your teeth and let the vibration do the work. I haven't ever used a more expensive Sonic Care brush and I don't think I would. This cheaper model does what I need a tooth brush to do with great results.
