Project Coordinator

A new established IT company has an amazing opportunity for an individual with exceptional leadership and organizational skills. This position also oversees the development and maintenance of strategic and tactical communications and consultation programs and provides leadership and direction to project staff. Under the direction of the Assistant Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for coordinating program and project implementations through initiation and requirements, design, build, testing and closure.


What you'll be doing:

  • Develop and manage the communications and consultation programs that support port authority-

led infrastructure development, including communications plans that address the needs of key
audiences, stakeholder engagement, key message development and delivery, media responses,
community consultation, issues management, and input into the website and information line

  • Provide strategic advice and collaboration on the port authority’s approach during regulatory

processes, including stakeholder engagement, and making recommendations on issues
management as required

  • Monitor and anticipate issues of concern related to project development including issues from

external stakeholders such as environmental agencies and regulators, communities and local
governments, and business interests

  • Manage the day-to-day communications activities ensuring alignment with the port authority’s

corporate communications and engagement activities. Ensure consistency between project
communications and corporate communications, media and government relations functions 

  • Participate in the development of departmental plans and is responsible for the development and

implementation of activities and programs designed to meet the intention of specific strategic
priorities

  • Support annual project and operating budget preparation and monitoring of expenditures
  • Participate in the planning and review of operating costs, particularly with regard to staffing

requirements, overheads, consultancy services, planned business programs and service provision

  • Plan, implement and review staffing requirements, including determining clear position

descriptions, accountabilities and reporting arrangements to optimize service delivery

  • Represent Company in negotiations, at conferences and conventions and in the media as required

 

What you bring to us:

  • Degree or diploma from a post-secondary institution, Major in Education; Communication & Media; Information management.
  • 2+ years experience in an admin, project coordination and/or research role or a combination of education and experience
  • Top notch client management skills to ensure Client Success Specialists are provided with ongoing support
  • A strong attention to detail while managing multiple tasks and projects
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
