Intermediate Accountant

CAC Natural Foods Inc. – Burnaby , BC

We are looking for a detail-oriented and self-motivated person who not only has the skills, knowledge and experience required, but who also has a positive attitude, high energy and willing to grow with the company.
Skills & Knowledge required:
• Solid understanding of ASPE;
• Well organized, good time management and multi-tasking, detailed/accurate, strong analytical, problem solving and planning skills with a willingness to learn and take initiative;
• Sage 50 knowledge proficiency;
• Advanced MS office, including Excel, Word and Outlook, Vlookup and Pivot table skill is a must;
• Experience working with multi-currency;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and must be able to fluently speak and write in English and Mandarin is a must.
• China working experience is an asset.
Job descriptions:
• Keeping general ledgers and financial statements;
• Inventory Control;
• Collect data from different sources and input to Sage
• Full-cycle Accounts Receivable;
• Full-cycle Accounts Payable;
• Monthly Bank & Visa Reconciliations;
• Monthly/Quarterly government reporting (GST, PST & Source Deductions);
• Preparation of financial reports directly to the senior management;
• Year-end tax planning and working paper preparation;
• Month-end close and preparation of financial reports packages;
• Ad hoc as assigned
Position Commitment and Conditions of Employment:
• Full-time – Monday to Friday, 9:00 am -- 5:30 pm
• Benefit – Health and dental benefit after 6 months probation

Required experience:
• Accounting: 1-2 years with Deploma
Required language:
• Mandarin and English
