POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently looking for a Live-in Building Caretaker for our site in Vancouver. This will be a full-time position, Tuesday to Saturday. This position would be an excellent opportunity for cleaners who are looking to earn better pay, and build their skills.

The Live-in Caretaker is responsible for maintaining residential complexes/high-rises. We offer different tiers of Building Caretaker positions depending on experience/skills. Duties range from cleaning and minor maintenance, to very technical jack of all trades tasks depending on the position tier.

Our Caretakers are the face of our Residential sites. We are looking for warm, and friendly individuals who can take ownership of the site, and make it their own. Providing exemplary customer service is a major point of emphasis for us.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complying with the Workers Compensation Act, Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, and all applicable laws & regulations following the Residential Tenancy Act
• Perform routine maintenance, general cleaning, and building repair, such as plumbing, minor drywalling, drywall repair, tiling jobs, grouting jobs, painting and wallpaper repair.
• Help area manager with Minor roof repairs (gutters, downspouts, drains), and maintaining the exterior grounds including litter pick up and snow removal
• Assist with specific units “one-time” cleaning and with designated unit of Airbnb cleaning on a regular basis.
• Showing rooms to potential clients, follow up with clients to ensure renting procedure stays effective and smooth.
• Communicate with customers about the scope of work and cost estimates
• Ensure the efficient use of materials and maintain adequate stock of necessary equipment
• Collect rent and keep a record of payment information from tenants
• Keep company equipment properly serviced, clean, and in good working order and condition
• Collect invoices, update daily route sheets, and upload weekly reports as required
• Contact with signed service contractors for building major repairments
• Help area manager with maintaining all interior and exterior lighting systems including replacing lights, repairs, and management of lighting supplies
• Prepare correspondence and other miscellaneous tasks as needed

WE REQUIRE

• Strong Customer Service skills

• Organized self-starter with excellent work ethic and good work habits

• Previous experience in residential or Strata buildings is an asset

• Individuals who enjoy and take pride in their work and who can work with little or no supervision

• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

• Must be able to pass a Criminal Record Check.
• Good computer skills & familiar with Google Suite.

Language:

• English (Required)
• Mandarin (Preferred)

Compensation starts from 2,200 per month plus excellent benefit package after probation time. Live on site required.

Reference and criminal check will be performed upon offer of position.
