Accounting Specialist

Location: Richmond, BC

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems

• Reconciling and posting AP/AR into Quickbooks.

• Analyze discrepancies and unpaid invoices
• Calculate and prepare cheques for payrolls and for utility, tax and other bills
• Complete and submit tax remittance forms, workers' compensation forms, pension contribution forms and other government documents

• Assist in preparation of annual tax forms and related society reports to various government bodies.
• Order supplies and equipment as needed, and maintain budgets;

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years experience in related field. 
• A certificate or diploma in business or management from a college or a post-secondary education in Business Administration, Accounting or a related field;
• Strong communication/presentation skills;

• fluent in English and Mandarin, Cantonese an asset, excellent reading and writing skills in English and Chinese;
• Excellent problem-solving, negotiation and time management skills
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
• Accuracy and attention to detail

• Must be available to work flexible hours and be responsive.
