Job description

This position is responsible for assisting Spectroscopy Lab Technicians in performing basic duties.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Help perform general laboratories tasks including, but not limited to: finding samples, transferring solutions, and solutions disposal.
• Maintain the cleanliness of department workstations and equipment.
• Neutralize laboratory waste and dispose of waste in accordance with the local waste disposal regulations.
• Recognize and learn to maintain safe working environment.
• Report any deviation from documented procedures to the supervisor.
• Inform supervisor of any non-conforming event related to client samples, analytical testing or other laboratory operations.
• Inform supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
• Act in a safe and professional manner and wear appropriate attire including require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Some lifting is required, up to 50lbs.
• Perform other duties as required by Management.

Capable staff may have the opportunity to move into a lab technician role.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $18.00 per hour
