Vancouver Outdoors Society (VOS) strive to nourish children growth with outdoor adventures. To respond to the desires of families and participants, the Society designs a wide variety of outdoor activities that incorporate VOS big 5 character traits (Honesty, Leadership, Trust, Courage, Patience) into the program, helping participants to discover and develop “self” through challenges and outdoor adventures. The VOS outdoor adventure, cultural exploration and educational philosophy offer youth a chance to learn beyond just how to have fun in the outdoors and the skills to live and travel in the wilderness. Working closely with parents to harness the power of program experience to influence the lives of their children, the Society aims to build character for the youth and foster resilient leaders for the future.

Job Description
We are looking to employ a driven and detail-oriented business development officer to identify our growth opportunities and develop strategies to increase our revenue. The business development officer's responsibilities include identifying the strength and weakness of the programs and services that we offer, figuring out our underperforming programs, developing marketing champions, promotions, partnerships etc. to grow our business revenue.
Responsibilities:
• Developing and sustaining solid relationships with stakeholders and customers.
• Analyzing customer feedback data to determine whether customers are satisfied with programs and services.
• Providing insight into program development, positioning and pricing.
• Analyzing financial data and developing effective strategies to reduce business costs and increase company profits.
• Conducting market research to identify new business opportunities.

Business Development Officer Requirements:
• Diploma in business management or administration, finance, accounting, marketing, or related field.
• Proven experience working as a business development officer or similar role.
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
• The ability to travel as needed.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and management skills.
• Exceptional negotiation and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Strong business acumen. excellent management, communication, and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented.
