- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements.
- Prepare bi-weekly payroll, WCB reporting and administer extended health benefits plan.
- Review and approve monthly bank reconciliation and credit card statements.
- Assist with tax compliance, reviewing monthly GST returns.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and analyzing financial data.
- Prepare quarterly banking compliance certification.
- Prepare annual working papers and lead annual external audit.
