Canadian Jerky Company is a manufacturing company seeking an Electrician - red seal certified to join our team in Surrey.

Reports to: Plant Manager

• Installs, troubleshoot, and repairs food processing equipment with a working knowledge of electrical to allow efficient repair/replacement results
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting problems and corrections as required in accordance to technical manuals, schematics, and drawings
• Planning for the maintenance and repair of all equipment and facilities
• Have an intermediate grasp of related mechanical requirements and apply corrective measures.
• Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance work on machinery
• Testing and providing feedback on existing and new production equipment
• Operates production equipment and checks the performance of that equipment
• Completes work requests and applies corrective measures
• Enhances equipment performance by recommending improvements and implementing
• Directly helps the facility meet targets and goals
• Addresses issues with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Contributes to a healthy work environment, while maintaining high safety standards
• Communicate daily repair activity with the Maintenance Team and Production
• Responsible for all electrical equipment installation, commissioning, and maintenance, as well as providing improvement plans.
• Responsible for equipment CSA certification and related power license applications.

Skills :

• Must be able to work independently
• Strong understanding of low-voltage electricity
• Ability to read circuit diagrams and identify various electrical components such as switches and relays
• Ability to deal with others effectively
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (English)

Experiences:

• A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position required
