Langley Farm Market (LFM) currently has six Metro Vancouver locations offering fresh produce, meat, specialty groceries, baked goods and delicatessen cold cuts. Now we are looking for an experienced Produce Manager to join our Maple Ridge 22621 Lougheed Highway location. Key Responsibilities: Department Operations & Staff Training - Oversee the daily operations of the department, keeping shelves fully stocked, well-organized, and visually appealing to customers. - Lead and manage the stocking of displays, replenishing shelves throughout the day ensuring proper stock rotation. - Monitor freshness and quality of products, both in storage and on the floor. - Verify that products are properly labeled with accurate pricing and signage, including promotional and seasonal items. - Manage store opening and closing procedures for the department, securing equipment and preparing the department for daily operations. - Provide excellent customer service by actively assisting customers, resolving complaints, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. - Resolve escalated customer inquiries and offer solutions to any issues that may arise. - Train staff, providing insight into product knowledge and customer service standards. Inventory Management & Sales Strategization - Lead the ordering and receiving of products, verifying quantities and inspecting product quality upon arrival. - Organize newly arrived products in storage by following proper handling and storage methods. - Manage inventory levels using computer systems, ensuring that stock levels meet customer demand while minimizing waste and shrinkage. - Collaborate with Category Buyers to develop sales strategies, promotions, and marketing initiatives that drive sales and product awareness. - Analyze sales reports and market trends to optimize product assortment. Requirements: - 1–2 years of related work experience in management, preferably in a grocery retail store with a focus on produce. - Ability to communicate in English; Mandarin or Cantonese is an asset. - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. - Flexible to work weekdays, weekends, and statutory holidays. We offer an annual salary of CA$47,000–CA$65,000, depending on qualifications and relevant experience, on-site parking and extended health and dental benefits.
