Position Title: Inhouse Accountant
Department: Accounting/Finance

Position overview
As the accountant, reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for all aspects of the accounting of assigned facilities, including processing journal entries, reviewing employee expenses, processing A/P and A/R invoices, effectively coordinate with external financial agencies and the management team.
Position responsibilities/accountabilities:
General Ledger
- Responsible for financial reporting of Cost of Goods Manufactured for facility, including analysis and reporting of variances to standards.
- Develop and manage appropriate metrics to monitor Plant working capital and ensure targets are met
- Ensure that variances accurately explain manufacturing financial statements.
- Responsible for financial reporting of inventory balances and trends on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Perform monthly balance sheet evaluation and reconciliations to ensure that statements are in accordance and balances are accurately stated.
- Responsible for all weekly and monthly reporting.
- Present and effectively communicate performance results of plant to corporate management teams.
Accounting and Budgeting
- Develop internal reporting structure for management.
- Record various journal entries including bank entries, management fees, month end accruals
- Input invoices in the Quick Book system
- Coordination and prepare the annual budget.
- Analysis of actual compared to budgeted performance.
- Ensure budgets are updated in appropriate systems for reporting purposes.
- Support payroll, A/R, and A/P
- Drive improvement within the plant for cost savings measures.
- Perform variance evaluation.
- Improve process and accuracy of month or year-end as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned
Maintenance of Cost System
- Create and maintain standard costs for all products.
- Prepare and evaluate variances to standards.
- Update raw material costs as necessary.
Qualifications/Abilities
- Education level: college diploma or above in Accounting and/or Finance
- Accounting designation
- 3-5 years experience in a similar role
- Must be able to effectively perform and present financial analysis
- Must demonstrate knowledge and the proficiency in the use of applicable computer systems (Quick Book, Sage, etc.)
- Must demonstrate proficiency in the use of Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must have experience in ERP systems
- Familiarity with financial services preferred
- Proficiency in written and spoken Mandarin preferred
